About Us

Ryan Powell
Ryan graduated from the University of Washington in 1993 with a concentration in Finance. Shortly, thereafter, he acquired both insurance& securities licenses and employment with one of the largest financial companies in the world. In 1994, he diversified into the Mortgage industry and four years later opened his first branch in Tacoma, WA. His strength is attracting high caliber professionals, and training everyday people to become successful in the financial industry. In 2005, he initiated a business strategy that has since resulted in the largest and fastest growing mortgage company in the Pacific Northwest. He continues to manage an active mortgage branch in Gig Harbor, WA. His vision and motivational skills are a major part of the driving force behind the A+ Accelerator system. When not working, he enjoys friends, jet- skiing, motorcycles, and fishing. He was married in 2003, and welcomed his son, Wesley, in 2005. He is looking forward to spending time on vacation with his family.

Jim Massey
Jim comes to A+ Accelerator with an extensive background in the banking and finance industry. In the past nine years he has worked as a wholesale account executive, mortgage banker, and area sales manager for a large national bank. Jims’ fiscal knowledge is matched by his integrity, foresight, enthusiasm, and outstanding leadership abilities. These qualities have made Jim a highly recruited professional in the region. Outside of work Jim enjoys, motorcycles, golf, visiting with friends, and spending time with his wife and daughters.

Chris Nelson
Chris has extensive background innovating, the Mortgage banking business with firms such as CityFed, Qpoint, Ameriwest, and Enterprise Mortgage. He founded LoanStreet.Com and invented the “approval first technology”, and also was credited with inventing the first ever E-Mortgage over the Internet. After being voted Who’s Who in Technology for the West Coast he sold his company and retired into private consulting and public speaking. Chris is excited to lend his expertise in technology and finance management to the A Plus Accelerator Founders Team because he believes mortgage acceleration is the next big trend in consumer finance. He spends his free time racing motorcycles, golfing, and raising his 4 amazing children.

Paul Leach
Paul brings more than ten years of experience in sales and marketing to the A+ team. His expertise is complimented by a background in multimedia production, software development and a Bachelor of Science degree from THE Ohio University, in Athens, OH. Although relatively new to the mortgage industry, Paul is happy to have been found by A+ Accelerator. Outside of work he enjoys friends & family, hiking, skiing, kayaking, motorcycles, and prefers spending time in the mountains.

Ken Garcy
Ken brings 8 years experience as a Regional Manager for a major residential alarm company, 12 years in the insurance industry, and 8 years in the mortgage industry to the A+ Accelerator leadership team. He is a 19 year veteran with the US Army in Special Operations. He graduated magna cum laude from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Fl. with a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Studies. He uses the A+ Accelerator in his own personal & business plan and was instrumental in bringing the A+ Accelerator to the founders. His goal is to help his clients achieve debt free status and true financial independence. He enjoys skiing, cycling, metal detecting, coin collecting, and traveling.

Dale Powell
Dale comes to A+ Accelerator with an extensive resume with expertise as a mortgage consultant, Insurance & Investment advisor, and real estate investor. Mr. Powell is a veteran of the United States Air Force where he served as a computer programmer. In his free time, Dale can be found spending time with his wife, children, and grand children. He loves camping, fishing, and flying, as he holds a commercial pilot’s license, and is building a small plane. Dale is a graduate of the University of Washington, where he received his Bachelors Degree.

TJ McGrath
TJ graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Washington with a concentration in Finance. His education is complimented by his experience with the United States Army where he functioned as a non-commissioned officer as a Russian linguist. For the past 10 years he has worked as a financial consultant for one of the largest insurance & securities companies in the nation, and holds a Certified Bank Securities and Insurance Consultant (CBSIC) designation. His involvement in the mortgage industry began in 1997 when he became a loan officer, and has since built and trained a team of over 70 mortgage professionals. He has become a valuable consultant and partner in several successful ventures with Ryan Powell. TJ is the proud father of his daughter, Elise, and likes sharing his time with friends and family. He enjoys jet-skiing, swimming, hiking, and going to the mountains. He is looking forward to his next heli-skiing vacation to the Chugach Range in Alaska.

Brian Woolsey
Brian has been active in the finance and real estate industry since 2000. He made his way to a large retail financing company, but felt he could better cater to his customers’ needs by managing his own team as a mortgage broker. His extensive knowledge of the mortgage industry has contributed valuable information into the design of the A+ Accelerator. He is a real estate investor and manages multiple properties in western Washington. He is married to, and works with, his wife of 11 years. He enjoys autocross racing, his motorcycle, and R.C. car racing.

Jae Taylor
Jae comes to the A+ Accelerator team with over 10 years of experience in software development and business analysis. Having worked for the state of Washington for most of his career, Jae has kept abreast of cutting edge technology and participated in several successful software and web development ventures. His background will help ensure that the A+ Accelerator system provides users with an easy-to-use and rewarding experience. Jae's knowledge of software development, as well as, his communication ability is a great asset to the founder’s team. Jae is happily married and the proud father of two beautiful daughters.

Richard Harter
Richard, CPM, CSM, CRES is the developer of the A+ Accelerator. Richard has spent the last 40 plus years in the development of systems for the management of major corporations, real estate projects and the financial industry. Richard has spent the last 10 years in the financial industry and has full knowledge of how to help families become better stewards of their money. The A+ Accelerator brings the methodology and technology together in a systems that will allow anyone to use the advanced methods developed to track and eliminate all debt years earlier, saving thousands in interest. Richard has a passion for golf and is a frequent winner of tournaments. He also has a passion for creating a future for families by introducing them to a New Way of Thinking.
